Sukesh Kamra named a Top 25 Most Influential Lawyer by Canadian Lawyer

Torys is pleased to announce that Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer Sukesh Kamra has been named in the Canadian Lawyer Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers list. This recognition is a testament to the work of Sukesh and the firm’s Knowledge & Innovation and Information Services teams, all of which has positioned Torys as a leader in the use of technology in the practice of law.

As leader of Torys’ Knowledge and Innovation team, Sukesh spearheads firm initiatives that aim to achieve the optimal operational efficiency. Through strategic collaborations with stakeholders across the firm, Sukesh has been responsible for several innovations within Torys designed to optimize workflow and client service.

These collaborations have been recognized by the legal community several times this year. One of these recognitions was the Best Use of Technology in a Law Firm award, given to the Knowledge and Innovation team at the 2024 Canadian Law Awards. Sukesh led the team in collaboration with the firm’s Competition Law practice group to create the first-ever advanced M&A geographic analysis product to help visualize different competitive market dynamics for particular regions in real time.

The firm also received the Tech Innovation Award at the 2024 IFLR Americas Awards for Torys’ Side Letter Management Tool, a state-of-the-art information management solution, that advances how we manage and maintain legal information for our clients. Created by a cross-functional team of developers, designers, data scientists and lawyers, the tool exemplifies Torys’ collaborative approach and commitment to building tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.
