We are thrilled to share that the firm has received three awards at the 2024 LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards, including Regulatory Firm of the Year—Canada, Regulatory Attorney of the Year—Canada, and Impact Deal of the Year—Canada.
The Regulatory Firm of the Year—Canada award recognizes our firm’s sophisticated capability in providing comprehensive and strategic regulatory counsel to clients across the life sciences ecosystem. Torys’ regulatory team—which includes over 40 lawyers and patent agents, including PhDs, MScs and engineers—consistently demonstrates exceptional depth of industry experience and uncompromising client service.
The co-founder of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Food and Drug Regulatory practices, Eileen McMahon, was named Regulatory Attorney of the Year—Canada. This award is a testament to Eileen’s deep legal acumen and market-leading experience advising companies across the life sciences sector on complex regulatory issues.
Finally, Torys also received the Impact Deal of the Year—Canada award for its counsel to Sun Life Financial Inc. in acquiring Dialogue Health Technologies Inc., Canada’s premier virtual healthcare and wellness platform. Led by Rima Ramchandani, the Torys team advised Sun Life through the $365 million acquisition, in which Sun Life indirectly acquired all issued and outstanding common shares of Dialogue.
