With over a decade of experience in the regulated electricity industry, Daliana offers practical counsel on a wide range of complex regulatory matters, including in public and administrative law, economic regulation, and regulatory compliance. Her expertise spans multi-year rate applications, performance-based utility remuneration, deferral and variance account mechanisms, rate-setting methodologies, affiliate relationship rules, sub-metering market regulation, connection and relocation costs and processes, tariffs, specific service charges, standby rates, and other cost allocation issues.
Daliana’s strategic approach helps clients navigate the complexities of their regulatory environments, and her deep insight into the intersection of the energy market and the public sector has made her a trusted advisor to clients navigating the energy ecosystem.
Before joining Torys, Daliana was the Director of Regulatory Applications and Business Support at Toronto Hydro. While there, she was also a member of the Adjudicative Modernization Committee, which was formed in 2021 to provide early advice, input and feedback on enhancing adjudication processes and policies at the Ontario Energy Board.
Daliana is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
