Michele’s practice focuses on corporate law with an emphasis on private equity. She regularly advises institutional investors, including private equity firms and pension plans, on their co-investment transactions. Michele also represents institutional investors in connection with their investments in private equity and venture capital funds. She has experience in private M&A transactions and securities law.
Michele also provides ongoing advice to public companies on their disclosure, corporate governance and other corporate and securities law obligations.
During law school, Michele was a Case Manager at the Western Business Law Clinic and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Lawyers Feed the Hungry. She was recognized on the Dean’s Honor List from 2011-2013 and received the Davies LLP Overall Performance Award, the McMillan LLP Award for Property Law and the Michael C. McInerney Award for Property Law.
While articling, Michele volunteered with the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
