Lauren's work centres on the evolving intersection between artificial intelligence and the law. She collaborates with practice groups across the firm to provide insight on emerging legal issues, including matters related to AI governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. Lauren has played a key role in developing Torys' AI Practice Group, working to coordinate the firm's AI expertise and track legislative, regulatory, and jurisprudential developments around the world.
Alongside this work, Lauren practices litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on AI, technology, data, constitutional, environmental, and corporate/commercial disputes. A meaningful portion of her practice engages Indigenous matters, including matters related to the duty to consult and accommodate and the resolution of legal issues through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
